Brooklyn-born superstar Barbra Streisand was awarded the 40th Annual Chaplin Award on Monday night at Lincoln Center.

Among those applauding her accomplishments were former President Bill Clinton and entertainers Liza Minnelli and Tony Bennett.

Streisand, who turns 71 this week, says as a young girl what she wanted most was to be an actress.

She is one of the few entertainers to have won Oscar, Emmy, Grammy and Tony awards.

The awards gala raised $2 million for the Film Society of Lincoln Center. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
