New Yorkers with a soft spot for science attended a "Tweet Up" on the deck of the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum Wednesday night.

The Time Warner Cable Connect a Million Minds event included a special screening of NY1's "It Ain't Rocket Science."

The audience included students from local robotics teams and others involved in science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM.

Everyone was encouraged to tweet and share their thoughts about the program.

"There's all these people around who are interested in getting other kids interested into science," said one attendee.

"I can't think of a better place to really demonstrate the commitment we have to hands-on science, technology, engineering and math education, because there's just so much here for kids to touch, feel, experience and enjoy," said Rob Marcus, president and chief operating officer of Time Warner Cable.

"It's very important for us to utilize these artifacts, make it exciting, make it fun, and the students leave and they've learned something, and they don't even realize it," said Susan Marenoff-Zausner, president of the Intrepid Museum.
