NY1's weekly segment "Your Weekend Starts Now" shows entertaining picks for great things to do this weekend all around the city. NY1's Stephanie Simon filed the following report.

"King Lear" In the Park
First up, the Public Theater's "Free Shakespeare in the Park" returns with a star-filled production of "King Lear." Tony and Emmy winner John Lithgow takes on the title role of this classic drama. It runs now through August 17 at the Delacorte Theatre in Central Park. Go online for details on how to get your free tickets.

"The Bikinis: a new musical beach party"
At the Snug Harbour Cultural Center on Staten Island, The Harbour Lights Theater Company presents "THE BIKINIS: a new beach party musical." It's filled with sun-soaked hits from the 60s. It's running now through August 17. Tickets start at 30 dollars.

"Boys Like Me"
It's become a favorite destination for drag theater. Now, you can check out now Australian Idol sensation and RuPaul's Drag Race Season 6 contestant Courtney Act at The Laurie Beechman Theater on 42nd Street. Her show "Boys Like Me" includes her favorite songs and insights into her love life. Tickets are $22.

Art Everywhere US
You can see American masterpieces on several large screens in Times Square with "Art Everywhere US" now through the end of the month. This public showcase of classic and contemporary visual art is taking place here and all across the country.

"90...and Going Strong"
It is a one of kind night of nonagenarians at Baruch College. Check out an amazing evening of music and laughter Monday night as Fyvush Finkel, Sol Yaged and Irving Fields join together on stage for "90...and Going Strong." Tickets start at just $35.

Music, film and food fans looking for a cultural escape this summer can head over to Long Island City, Queens for the launch of The Lot LIC Music & Film Series.
