NY1's weekly segment "Your Weekend Starts Now" shows entertaining picks for great things to do this weekend all around the city. NY1's Stephanie Simon filed the following report.

For more laughs, check out "Pageant: The Musical." It's all the swimsuits and ballgowns you'd expect in a beauty pageant, except these are men. This hilarious beauty contest is at the Davenport Theatre on west 45th Street. Tickets start around $22 dollars.

"Gypsy" at The Rockaway Theatre Company

The Rockaway Theatre Company is hoping everything comes up roses for it's production of "Gypsy." This classic American musical look at stage-moms and the vaudeville circuit of the 1920's and 30's. Tickets start at $20.
