NY1's weekly segment "Your Weekend Starts Now" shows entertaining picks for great things to do this weekend all around the city. NY1's Stephanie Simon filed the following report.
Tyson vs. Ali
Performance Space 122 kicks off its winter performing arts festival with a multi-media work “Tyson vs. Ali,” which puts Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson in the boxing ring together.
“Tyson vs. Ali” will be at 3LD Art & Technology Center at 80 Greenwich Street in Manhattan.
Tickets cost $20.
The Coil festival includes several other great performances at venues around the city through the end of the month.
See some of your favorite Broadway stars at the Metropolitan Opera in Johann Strauss's Die Fledermaus this Saturday night. See Paulo Szot, Betsy Wolfe and Danny Burstein, among others, in this new production. It's there through February 22.

Who can forget this hit song “Cult of Personality” from 80's funk metal band Living Colour? Well, the group is returning to Brooklyn, where founding guitarist Vernon Reid grew up, for a performance at Brooklyn Bowl tonight.

And lastly TV, film and stage actor Jeff Daniels has been making news in HBO's “The Newsroom.” Now he's also "headlining" at 54 below. Tonight through Saturday, he’s performing his own original music.
Tickets start at $40.
An exhibit of Danish paintings has just been extended at Scandinavia House on Park Avenue and 37th Street. The exhibition chronicles the developments in Danish art from the early 19th through the early 20th centuries. It's on view through January 25.
Songstress Ayanna Lee will play a free concert Friday night at BAMcafe. The show begins at 9 p.m.
Singer Tom Wopat will perform at 54 Below on January 7.
