Designer Nanette Lepore is pretty hardcore when it comes to soft, pretty looks for spring 2014. NY1's Stephanie Simon filed the following report.

Spring 2014 for designer Nanette Lepore is a love affair with romance.

"Everything has a nudey pink slip under it, so there's this element of like sheerness and budoir sexiness, and then the netty-ness the open work gives you like this other illusion like its floating on your body almost," says Lepore.

Chunkier shoes and accessories anchor these soft dreamy looks and keep them from floating away.

Lepore's celebrity clientele were also feeling the love.

"I love her clothes, I love the music she plays and I think she has a very cool style," says actor Kelly Rutherford.

"I love wearing her on air, very chic and very sophisticated at the same time," says retired gymnast and sports commentator Nastia Liukin.

"There are things I wear on the red carpet or just running around during the day to meetings. It's just a very versatile line," says actor Sami Gayle.

Of course, hair and makeup help complete that dreamy romantic look.

For hair, random sections are curled and then teased for texture and lift.

"Brush everything out and it actually looks very, very soft and romantic," says lead hair stylist Jeanie Syfu.

On the face, it's hydrated skin, a softer application of powders with bigger brushes, a softer brow and, of course, lip.

"We're taking this Lovers Lane lip pencil, which is new for spring by Mac. Already, it's fat, so it will give you that sort edge instead of hard crispy line, and then sometimes what I do is I take a Q-tip, and I roll it around the edge of the lip and it gives you like a softer pout," says head makeup artist James Kaliardos.

There might be a wait before spring, but when it arrives, there will be plenty of romantic looks to fall in love with. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
