NY1's weekly segment "Your Weekend Starts Now" shows entertaining picks for great things to do this weekend all around the city. NY1's Frank DiLella filed the following report.

Central Park SummerStage
The sounds of pop, R&B, dance and Latin music light up Central Park as part of the SummerStage concert series. On Saturday night, groove to the eclectic mix of Twin Shadow, the brainchild of writer/singer/producer George Lewis Jr. On Sunday afternoon, salsa sensation Tito Nieves headlines La Mega's 6th Annual Tropical Fest. Showtime is at 3 p.m. Tickets for all SummerStage shows are free.

La Mega Festival
Get warmed up for the the La Mega festival on Saturday night with another salsa great, Ismael Miranda, who's headlining the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts in the Bronx. Miranda will be joined by special guests Andy Montanez and Paquito Guzman. Tickets start at $45.

Off-Broadway, prepare for a mind-bending theater experience at "rogerandtom," now running on HERE's main stage. Julien Schwab's absurdist comedy centers around a man who has come to see the same show that the audience has, only to find out he's actually a member of the cast. "Rogerandtom" is running through August 24. Tickets are $40.

Blake Whyte at Joe's Pub
"Mamma Mia!" cast member Blake Whyte steps off the boards and onto the stage at Joe's Pub for a solo show this Sunday night. Whyte will sing and play piano, backed by his six-piece band. Showtime is at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $15.

"Dance at Socrates"
Dance and sculpture makes a perfect match in Long Island City. Norte Maar celebrates New York choreographers working on the fringe in a summer-long residency at Socrates Sculpture Park called "Dance at Socrates." Check out Edisa Weeks and Delirious Dances' show at 3 p.m. on Saturday. All performances are free.

"Make it Snappier: Plays in a New York Minute (Double Time)"
The 52nd Street Project presents "Make it Snappier: Plays in a New York Minute (Double Time)," a series of ten one-acts, written by theater professionals and performed by pairs of adults and Hell's Kitchen kids. Performances will take place Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Admission is free, but reservations must be made in advance by calling (212) 642-5052.

"City's Six" Exhibition
Check out the works of emerging artists at the brand new One Art Space gallery. "City's Six," on display through August 22, features works by six recent graduates of CUNY's Fine Arts Program, who are showing their art together for the first time. One Art Space is open Tuesdays through Saturdays.

"Sol LeWitt: Shaping Ideas" Exhibition Kickoff
The JCC in Manhattan unveils unveils a 36-foot tall Sol Lewitt wall drawing on Thursday, marking the artist's 20th wall work in Manhattan public space. The corresponding exhibition, "Sol LeWitt: Shaping Ideas," runs from August 15 through November 12, 2013.

3rd Annual Jazzmoble Program
