Jackie Hoffman's "A Chanukah Carole" At New World Stages
First up, it's time to examine holiday past present and future, but it's not A Christmas Carole. It's Jackie Hoffman's "A Chanukah Carole." This very funny one woman show is at New World Stages on W 50th Street. Performances are on Friday and Saturday nights through Dec. 29. Tickets start at $39.50.
New York City Gay Men's Chorus At Town Hall
The New York City Gay Men’s Chorus will hold its annual holiday concert at Town Hall at 123 W 43rd St. The performance is this Sunday and includes special guest folk singer/songwriter Judy Collins. The show is called "An American Holiday." It's at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets start at $66.
"Songs In The Key Of Life" Tribute To Stevie Wonder At Harlem Stage
That's what friends are for. At Harlem Stage, keyboardist Robert Glasper will headline an all-star tribute to Stevie Wonder with four shows Thursday and Friday. The event is called "Songs in the Key of Life." Shows are at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets are $45.
Eddie Palmieri At Jazz At Lincoln Center
Also Friday night, native New Yorker and Latin jazz great Eddie Palmieri will be at Jazz at Lincoln Center for what's billed as "A Career Retrospective." And what a career it's been. The pianist-composer is a nine-time Grammy winner and major musical innovator. Show time is 8 p.m. and tickets start at $30.
Mummenschanz At NYU's Skirball Center
Now is your "schanz" to see "Mummenschanz," the non-verbal theatre pioneers that have been creating a spectacle out of the ordinary for 40 years. See the anniversary celebration at the NYU Skirball Center through Jan. 6. Tickets start at $45.
Radio City Christmas Spectacular At Radio City Music Hall
If you've never been, kick it up a notch this holiday season with the Radio City Christmas Spectacular featuring of course... the world famous Rockettes. Tickets start at just 35 dollars. It's at Radio City Music Hall through Dec. 30.
"Sandy Relief: A Bard-Based Variety Show" At West End Theatre
Shakespeare With Benefits presents "Sandy Relief: A Bard-Based Variety Show." It's Monday night at 7:30 p.m. at the West End Theatre, 263 W 86th St., 2nd Floor. Tickets are $20 and benefits Sandy victims via NY Cares.
Os Kuduristas At Gonzalez y Gonzalez
Os Kuduristas is in NYC on Sunday at 9:30 p.m. They will be at Gonzalez y Gonzalez, located at 192 Mercer Street. Os Kuduristas features Angolan Kuduro dance, which combines hip-hop and native Angolan moves.
