2009...It's a miracle on the Hudson. After taking off from LaGuardia Airport in Queens, U.S. Airways Flight 1549 experiences engine failure after being struck by a flight of birds. Remarkably, Captain Chesley Sullenberger manages to bring the plane down safely in the Hudson River. Everyone on board escapes without serious injury and Sullenberger is hailed as a hero.
