1981...After 15 months, a tense chapter in modern American history concludes when the Iranian hostage crisis comes to an end. Barry Rosen of Brooklyn is among the 52 American hostages freed from Iran's U.S. embassy just minutes after Ronald Reagan takes over the presidency from Jimmy Carter. The hostages had been held captive by Iranian militants for 444 days.
