A Brooklyn furniture store has made good on some deliveries after NY1 For You stepped in to help some customers. NY1's Susan Jhun filed the following NY1 For You report.

Brooklyn couple Manny and Tanya Simone have a new comfortable couch that cost them considerable effort, in addition to what was on the price tag.

"We paid $340 cash for a new couch, they told us it would arrive approximately a week later on a Saturday afternoon. Saturday came and went, we didn't receive anything," says Manny Simone.

NY1 For You first covered this situation about a week ago. A month after paying for the piece of furniture the Simones say they had no couch and no communication with Furniture To Go, the Bay Ridge store where they bought the sofa.

They weren't the only ones. Hrisoula Pasiakos purchased a sofa bed from the same store and paid a $400 cash deposit on a $650 sofa. She said she waited all day for the sofa to be delivered twice, and both times no one showed.

"I tried to call and I went again over there and I wait for an hour, two hours, maybe somebody's coming. They have light inside, they have sign open, and nobody," says Pasiakos.

NY1 spoke with the owner of Bay Ridge Furniture To Go and he told the station he gave up his lease and was trying to open another location somewhere else. He claimed he was working on filling all his orders.

The station then found that his brother is the owner of the Marine Park Furniture To Go store. NY1 called him and he said he would help his brother fill everyone's order.

A week later, both the Simones and Pasiakos received their furniture.

"I just want to thank you NY1 for helping us out," says Manny Simone.

"I appreciate NY1, they help me, very, very much," says Pasiakos.

After NY1's first story aired, the NY1 For You unit heard from others who had not received furniture from the store. The owner said he is working now to fill their orders as well.
