A judge delayed the decision until Monday on whether to sentence former Nasdaq Chairman Bernard Madoff to jail or allow him to remain on house arrest.
Prosecutors are calling for Madoff's bail to be revoked.
Madoff is accused of running a $50 billion Ponzi scheme.
Prosecutors told the court signed checks worth $173 million were found in Madoff's office desk, and that he was ready to send them out to family and friends at the time of his arrest last month.
They've also accused Madoff of mailing more than a million dollars' worth of jewelry to family once he realized his scheme was falling apart.
On Friday night, Madoff was free on bail but confined to his Manhattan apartment under 24-hour guard with an electronic ankle bracelet.
His lawyers say Madoff should remain free because is not a flight risk or a danger to the community. They also called the jewelry gifts an honest mistake.
