A permanent memorial was unveiled Saturday for an Irish-American icon.

Annie Moore was the first immigrant to pass through Ellis Island in 1892. It was thought she moved on from New York City, but genealogists discovered the true story, and finally revealed that Moore was buried in Calvary Cemetery in Queens.

Julia Devous, Moore's great-granddaughter, joined NY1 to talk more about her ancestor's monument.
