Parking problems in one Queens neighborhood were driving residents crazy until they reached out to NY1. NY1's Susan Jhun filed the following "NY1 For You" follow-up report.Pulling into her driveway is no longer a problem for Queens homeowner Renee Graham who until recently would come home to find it blocked.
"I have to back into my neighbor's driveway some in order just to get in," says Graham.
Last week, residents said for the past 10 years their driveways were constantly blocked by illegally parked livery cabs from the company U Need Car Service located across the street.
"You're running a business. You know you're not supposed to be parking and blocking our driveways. You need to have some type of stand in order for you to park your commercial vehicles," says Graham.
NY1 called the owner of U Need and he promised to keep his cars out of the driveways and residents say so far, so good.
"They've been very good U Need about not parking in our driveways. I do appreciate them not blocking my driveway and apologizing," says Graham.
Residents say they hope it's an end to the decade-long driveway drama.
