A leaning electrical pole had one Queens family on edge, until NY1 For You helped get the situation straightened out. NY1's Susan Jhun filed this NY1 For You follow-up report.

From severely slanting to straight, an electric pole that fell on three separate occasions in front of Yoon Suk Kang's home in Little Neck, Queens is finally stable.

"The Verizon cable wire was a lot lower than average. The garbage pickup truck tried to get in to pick up the garbage and they hit the line and the electric pole fell down," says Kang.

Last week, NY1 For You reported about the homeowner's struggle to get Verizon and Consolidated Edison to not only fix the pole but also get to the root of the problem and raise the wires so large vehicles would not hit them and pull the pole down.

After NY1 called Con Ed, the utility came out and straightened its pole and Verizon relocated its lines.

"They remove the wire and they rerun a new cable line which is a lot higher than before, so it seems like everything will be okay now," says Kang. "I am happy and I just want to say a million thank yous to NY1. Thank you!"

It's a relief to the Kang family, who is happy to have this mess straightened up.
