NY1 VIDEO: To help understand why Hurricane Sandy did so much damage and to prevent a repeat occurrence, city and state officials turned to environmentalists for answers, and one group in particular, The Nature Conservancy, outlined a series of guidelines and research projects that could protect the city in the future. NY1's Elizabeth Kaledin sat down with the conservancy's executive director, Bill Ulfelder, to hear about the natural approach to fighting natural disasters.
