NY1 VIDEO: Eight months after Hurricane Sandy, many New Yorkers are still in the process of rebuilding their homes and lives, and many are also still trying to cope with the emotional trauma of what they went through. That's why Project Hope exists, and the program's director, Tamar Renaud, spoke with NY1's Elizabeth Kaledin about new funding from the federal government and how that helps pay for counseling services the agency offers.

Anyone who would like to speak to a counselor can reach Project Hope at 1-800-Life-Net. All calls are free and confidential.
