Queens Student Sets Off Pepper Spray In Cafeteria

Nearly two dozen students at a Queens High School were being treated Tuesday for exposure to pepper spray.
It happened at Jamaica High school around 8 a.m.
Fire officials say 22 students were treated after reporting tightness in their chest and burning eyes.
The Department of Education says a student from Queens Collegiate, which shares a campus with the school, reportedly released the pepper spray in the cafeteria.
"And then the kids was coming upstairs crying. Their eyes was red and the ambulance and stuff was here and the cops was here and they were trying to find the little boy with the spray," said one student.
The DOE says the cafeteria has since been aired out.
Parents are being notified about the incident.
