Senator Charles Schumer pumped up the New York delegation to the Democratic National Convention at a Tuesday morning breakfast, ahead of the convention's call to order.

Democratic members of the State Assembly, State Senate, and City Council attended Tuesday morning's delegation breakfast in Charlotte, N.C.

They are all looking to get President Barack Obama re-elected.

"Ladies and gentlemen, on to victory November 6th, when we re-elect Barack Obama and Joe Biden president and vice president, Kirsten Gillibrand U.S. senator, when we pick up the five, the six congressional seats we lost last year," said Schumer.

Several potential mayoral candidates are also in Charlotte, but City Comptroller John Liu is on an overseas trip.

Liu's campaign has faced some legal issues, and the comptroller was not made a delegate by the state party.

A spokesman for Governor Andrew Cuomo denied the governor had a role in that decision.
