The man prosecutors call the mastermind behind the burglary that led to the death of a Brooklyn police officer was found guilty Friday in a Brooklyn court.

A jury convicted Nelson Morales of second degree murder and burglary.

During the trial, Morales tried to portray himself as a victim, saying co-defendant Lamont Pride forced him to take part in the 2011 break-in that led to the shooting of Officer Peter Figoski.

Figoski was one of the first officers to arrive on the scene and was shot in the head as the suspects tried to make their escape.

Morales is due back in court for sentencing on June 13.
