Deliberations End Early In Trial Of Man Accused Of Officer's Fatal Shooting

The weather prompted deliberations in the trial of a man accused of killing an NYPD officer to wrap up early Friday.
Family and friends of Peter Figoski left court after the judge sent the jury in the Lamont Pride trial home early so they could beat the storm.
Deliberations will continue Monday.
In the meantime, jurors asked to see the videotaped interviews between Pride and the Brooklyn DA's office.
In them, Pride gave investigators his version of what happened, claiming the shooting was an accident.
Investigators say Pride and four others were trying to rob a known drug dealer when the police broke it up.
They say Pride shot Figoski in the face while trying to escape.
"Since December 12, when police officer Figoski was so viciously gunned down, there has been nothing but anxiety and stress for this family," said Pat Lynch, president of the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association. "They're a strong family. They'll hold it together. And hopefully, we'll get the right verdict at the end."
The trial for Michael Velez, who allegedly was the getaway driver in Figoski's murder, is also expected to continue on Monday as well.
