Sources: Correction Officer Had Sex With Detectives' Murderer In Prison
A pregnant federal correctional officer was released from jail on bond Tuesday, hours after her arrest on charges she had multiple sexual encounters with inmates on the job, and sources say she was impregnated by an inmate convicted of murdering two city police officers in 2003. NY1's Dean Meminger filed the following report.

Wiping tears from her eyes, federal correctional officer Nancy Gonzalez tried hiding her face. But the bulge under her coat is the real story.
Prosecutors alleged that when she should have been guarding a high profile inmate at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Brooklyn, she was having sex with him and is now pregnant.
Sources said that the inmate is cop killer Ronell Wilson, referred to as "R" in the criminal complaint.
Gonzalez's lawyer, Anthony Ricco, said it's a complicated case.
"People find love in the strangest places, and people get together in the most difficult circumstances," Ricco said. "We live in a society where these events happen. These types of cases are unusual, but they're not uncommon, and they usually involve people who have issues."
Wilson was convicted of executing two NYPD detectives, James Nemorin and Rodney Andrews, on Staten Island during a gun buy-and-bust in 2003.
According to Gonzalez's criminal complaint, she also had a sexual relationship with another inmate, and, in a phone conversation recorded by authorities told that man about the sex with Wilson.
"...there was an inmate there that for whatever reason, I took a chance because I was so vulnerable and wanted to be loved, and now, I am carrying his child," the report alleges that Gonzalez said.
Prosecutors said they also have video of the two entering an empty room several times. They checked surveillance tapes after other inmates told authorities what was going on.
"She's really distraught," Ricco said. "She's in the worst place that a woman could be eight months pregnant."
While this is happening, Wilson is appealing his death sentence for killing the two detectives. His lawyers said his IQ is too low for him to be put to death.
The detectives' union is outraged over this latest case. It is questioning if this is some sort if plot between the correctional officer and Ronnel Wilson so he can avoid being put to death.
If Gonzalez is convicted of having sex with an inmate, she faces up to 15 years as an inmate herself.
