Family and friends Tuesday mourned the store clerk who was killed by police last week in an apparent accidental shooting.

A wake was held for Reynaldo Cuevas in Washington Heights.

The 20-year-old was shot Friday trying to escape an armed robbery at the Morrisania bodega where he worked.

His brother said he and his mom are still in shock.

"She still can't believe it," said Joel Cuevas, Reynaldo's brother. "She thinks it's like a dream, you know. She can't believe her younger son died the way he died, you know. Two years ago, I just lost my father by a gun and now I just lose my little brother too by a gun, you know. That's something I can't even imagine."

Police Commissioner Kelly said Cuevas collided with a police officer whose gun was drawn.

Kelly said the impact caused the gun to go off accidentally.

But relatives are calling for a grand jury to investigate.

The three men accused in the armed robbery are charged with murder.

Cuevas's funeral will be held in the Dominican Republic.
