The lawyer for the man accused of plotting to bomb a synagogue says her client, her client, Ahmed Ferhani, was targeted by police, because he is Muslim.

Authorities say Ferhani, an Algerian native, was caught on a wiretap conspiring to bomb synagogues.

The defense lawyer, Elizabeth Fink, said the surveillance is another instance of police bias.

Ferhani was arrested in May, after authorities say he bought guns, ammunition and a grenade from undercover officers.
