NY1.com, NY1 News' award-winning website, provides exclusive online access to the editorial content of Time Warner Cable's 24-hour New York City news channel.

The website was launched in its original form on October 1, 1996, as part of Time Warner's now-defunct Pathfinder service.

Three years later NY1.com got a new, expanded look when the site was redesigned in September of 1999 in conjunction with the launch of Time Warner Cable's Road Runner cable modem service in New York City.

The site was upgraded to its current form in August of 2008, with the addition of Flash video and expanded user features. A Spanish-language companion site, NY1noticias.com, was launched two months later.

The site was recognized as the best news website in the region of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut by the Radio-Television News Directors Association, which awarded NY1.com the Edward R. Murrow Award in 2003.

Today NY1.com boasts an extensive story archive, a 24-hour live audio stream, and a companion iPhone app and text-based mobile site for on-the-go access. Through our search function, users can access more than 150,000 video clips dating back to 1999.
