NY1.com, NY1 News' award-winning website, provides exclusive online access to the editorial content of Time Warner Cable's 24-hour New York City newschannel.

The website was launched on October 1, 1996, and was later redesigned in September of 1999 when Time Warner Cable launched Road Runner, its high-speed cable modem service, in New York City.

The site was upgraded to its current form in August of 2008, with the addition of Flash video and expanded user features. A Spanish-language companion site, NY1noticias.com, was launched two months later.

The site was recognized as the best news website in the region of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut by the Radio-Television News Directors Association, which awarded NY1.com the Edward R. Murrow Award in 2003.

Today NY1.com boasts an extensive text and video archive, a text version for handheld devices, live audio streaming using the free Real Player, and more than 70,000 video clips dating back to 1999.
