A judge dismisses several dozen defendants from lawsuits seeking to blame individuals, banks and foreign entities for the September 11th terror attacks.

Four half-brothers and a nephew of Osama bin Laden were among those dropped from the litigation.

Victims of the attack and insurance carriers filed the lawsuits seven years ago, claiming that bin Laden's family protected his financial interests as he was building his terrorist network in the 1990s.

The judge ruled that the plaintiffs failed to prove the Saudi family's involvement contributed to the attacks.
