NY1 VIDEO: As part of its 9/11 tenth anniversary coverage, NY1 takes a look back at reporter Jill Scott's story from September 17, 2001 about how immediately following the terror attacks, it was a struggle for many Lower Manhattan businesses to reopen their doors.

NY1 FOLLOW-UP: For many businesses, the economic damage inflicted by 9/11 was too much to overcome. According to data compiled by the Downtown Alliance, Lower Manhattan suffered a loss of 754 business in the first two years after the attacks.
