NY1 VIDEO: As part of its 9/11 tenth anniversary coverage, NY1 takes a look back at reporter Jay Dow's story from September 16, 2001 about parishioners of St. Nicholas' Church, which stood in the shadow of the World Trade Center and destroyed in the attacks.

NY1 FOLLOW-UP: Ten year later, St. Nicholas' Church has still not been rebuilt. The church's future is the subject of a lawsuit between the church against the Port Authority, which owns the World Trade Center site. For the past decade, parishioners from St. Nicholas have been attending services at the Cathedral of Saints Constantine and Helen in Brooklyn Heights. The presiding priest, Father Lardas, says the two congregations have come together nicely, but adds he is anxious for St. Nicholas's congregation to once again have a home of their own. The Port Authority would not comment because of the pending litigation.
