If you're looking to start your day with a hearty breakfast or brunch, the Zagat Restaurant Guide has some ideas on where to fuel up.

Cafe Condesa
183 W 10th Street at 7th Avenue
(212)352-0051
www.cafecondesa.com

Zagat says this cafe is serving "standard breakfast and brunch items in the morning and simple, Latin-accented New Americana the rest of the day." The guide adds this spot is "already winning public attention" because "the vibe is laid-back and the space rustic, in sync with the low price tags."

Cafe Condesa has yet to be rated, but Zagat says prices are inexpensive.

CafŽ con Leche
726 Amsterdam Avenue (Btwn 95th and 96th Streets)
(212)678-7000
and
424 Amsterdam Avenue (Btwn 80th and 81st Streets)
(212)595-0936

Surveyors say the combination of an "addictive" namesake beverage that "beats Starbucks hands down," and "tasty" "inexpensive" Cuban-Dominican fare keeps this restaurant "crowded." Customers rave the "hearty" brunches are the "real deal," but Zagat warns the interiors are "uninspired."

As for the ratings, out of a possible 30, Cafe Con Leche receives a 17 for food, an 11 for decor and a 15 for service. Surveyors say expect to spend about $23 for a meal here.
