Some Queens residents affected by Sandy will receive insurance assistance.
The Department of Financial Services says it's opening a mobile command center at St. Helen's Church in Howard Beach.
It will be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Representatives will help New Yorkers whose homes and businesses were damaged to contact their insurers and answer questions about insurance coverage.
Those unable to get to the center are urged to call the Department's storm hotline at 1-800-339-1759. It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
