Officials say trees that were downed by Sandy will be recycled.

City officials and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers say they'll be turned into biofuel, mulch and landfill cover.

Nearly 100,000 cubic yards of tree debris is piled at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn and officials say they expect that to double as the cleanup continues.

More than 15,000 trees fell due to Sandy.
