State Assemblyman Dov Hikind says two "vicious" pit bulls are terrorizing a residential neighborhood in his district and is urging city officials take measures to ensure future attacks do not happen.
Hikind says the dogs -- one brown and one black and white -- are responsible for killing one dog and mauling another in Midwood.
A video has been posted on YouTube with a description saying the dogs attack anyone who walks by.
Published reports say six calls have been made about the dogs since April.
Animal Care and Control officials say inspectors have responded several times, but did not see the pit bulls.
Hikind says the dogs usually gather near the old Long Island Rail Road tracks at Foster Avenue and Avenue I.
He says holes in the fence allow the dogs to pass through.
