Some lucky kids at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens got a tennis clinic from the champ.
Reigning U.S. Open singles champion Rafael Nadal gave a few tips to kids from the Child Center of New York at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on Thursday.
Nadal is gearing up for his first match at the tournament after beating Novak Djokovic for the title last year.
"It's the last one of the season. It's New York, it's the grand slam, very special. The crowd is always very hard here. It's fantastic," said Nadal.
"It was so cool," said one young participant.
The children's clinic is part of the "Returning the Love" initiative, in which the U.S. Open reaches out to surrounding community organizations.
