City students are attending the third annual Mussukeba Sane African Dance and Drum Conference this weekend at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater on Manhattan's West Side.

More than 20 dance and drum classes are being offered, highlighting various regions of West Africa.

"I love dancing with everyone here and I just love hearing the drums," said one participant. "Sabar, which we're doing right now, is one of the hardest techniques for me to master, so I was real excited to come out."

"It's just an opportunity to mix some new stuff with some stuff I already know," said another participant.

The classes wrap up Sunday night.
