More than 20,000 people took to the streets of Manhattan Saturday to help raise money for breast and ovarian cancer research.

Runners and walkers lined up early to kick off the 14th annual Entertainment Industry Foundation's Revlon Run/Walk for Women.

The 5K began in Times Square and ended in Central Park.

"I've been participating for over 10 years now and it means a lot to me, especially this year because I was diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma last year and I'm about two weeks into remission now so I'm all clear and I'm so happy to be here," said Participant Dawn Deleo.

"My grandma's actually a survivor of breast cancer so I called her this week and told her, 'You know I'm running this race for you,'" said Participant Drew Wichmann.

Revlon CEO and President Allan Ennis says the event is a step in the right direction toward winning the fight against cancer.

"Over the years Revlon has helped to raise over $65 million to help fight this disease and it goes to finding a cure, treatment, mammagrophy testing, the works," Ennis said.

A number of famous faces also attended the event, including Dr. Oz, actresses Jessica Biel and Jessica Alba, and talk show host Jimmy Fallon.
