Celebrate Valentine's Day early with "Heartbreak and Homies" a dance performance at Joe's Pub this Friday and Saturday night at 7 p.m. Organized by DanceNOW, this Valentine's show presents new works by Kyle Abraham and several guest artists. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
Dance New Amsterdam Presents "Raw Directions"

Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m, let your love affair with dance continue with Dance New Amsterdam's series Raw Directions. It's a showcase of emerging and mid career choreographers. It takes place at DNA's dance space Downtown at 280 Broadway. Tickets are $17.

Talk about a passion for music, there's not one but three great new exhibits on guitars to check out. First, the Morrison Hotel Gallery Loft in SoHo showcases photographs of guitars by famed photographer Jonathan Singer. They're also strumming at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Its new exhibit is called Guitar Heroes: Legendary Craftsmen from Italy to New York and it's a stunning showcase of the this stringed instrument. And finally, it doesn't open until next week but "fret" not, MoMA will be showcasing Picasso's fascination with this musical instrument through sculpture, collage, drawings, mixed-media painting and more.
Brooklyn Youth Chorus Presents "Tell The Way"

Tonight through Saturday check out the Brooklyn Youth Chorus and the world premier of "Tell The Way," composed by Nico Muhly. The chorus, Muhly, and other special guests will perform the work at St. Ann's Warehouse at 38 Water St., Brooklyn. Showtimes are 7:00 p.m. Thursday and 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $35 to $50
