Bellevue Hospital is opening a new, 24-hour psychiatric unit for children and teens.
The $1.1 million Children's Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program is being dedicated today.
The center was created to deal with a dramatic rise in the number of kids needing psychiatric care.
Bellevue says the unit will be able to handle 1,500 patients each year.
