Best known for her dreamy wedding gowns, Vera Wang brings that same ethereal splendor to all her looks. But for spring 2011, Wang is also drawing on her killer instincts.

"I was really about Kill Bill, about empowering women," she says. "But I think women are complicated creatures and there's a sense of mystery when you talk about the Far East, and I tried to kind of convey that maybe everything isn't what you see. So there are references that were ephemeral, but they're also incredibly powerful, modern young warrior women. I had the influence of sumo, Japan and geisha and samurai and maybe even a female assassin or two.

The spring line throws out a bouquet of surprises: Unusual silhouettes, surprising shapes, and sculptured elements. And while a far cry from her wedding gowns, several do have trains.

Bottom line: To wear Wang, you've gotta be a real fashion warrior.

Meanwhile, at Badgley Mishka, you may not be the bride – but in these looks you'll still feel like a princess.

Badgley Mishka designs always harken back to old Hollywood glamor, but for spring 2011 the duo takes their inspiration straight from the movies. It's the 1980's love, lust and murder film, "White Mischief," set in Kenya. The looks combine the ruggedness of safari with the decadence of colonialism.

"It was a great starting point for this collection," says Mark Badgely. "The clothes are all soft, feminine, languid, diaphanous."

"A very neutral pallete." agrees James Mishka. "A lot of sand, desert, lush, fabulous shades of coral and tuille. Really just pretty, pretty, pretty."

From safari chic to gowns that glitter...no matter what your on the hunt for, these looks will kill.
