Two groups are teaming up to collect food for Rosh Hashanah, which begins tomorrow.
Volunteers with City Harvest and Masbia Soup kitchen collected 2,000 pounds of fruits and vegetables, which were donated by farmers and vendors at the Union Square Green Market.
Masbia runs four kitchens in the city and serves thousands of meals to needy families, who look to keep kosher for the holidays.
Tomorrow, City Harvest is beginning a special food drive for the holidays.
