An animal rescue organization is working to save more than a dozen cats that have been trapped behind a wall at a city housing complex in Queens.
Officials with SaveKitty Foundation say the cats got stuck when contractors hired by the New York City Housing Authority began to seal up crawlspaces at the Ravenswood Houses in Long Island City.
They're calling on city officials to make sure all the cats are safely removed.
In a statement, NYCHA insists it is taking all necessary measures to keep the trapped cats safe.
