Blocked Subway Signs A Tough Read, Straphangers Say

As the Metropolitan Transportation Authority starts putting up electronic information signs in subway stations across the city, passengers may not be finding them very helpful.
At some stations, including the one at 72nd and Broadway in Manhattan, they're being installed behind existing signs.
And depending on how you look at them, the old signs can block your views of the new ones.
A spokesperson for the MTA says they plan to remove or relocate any signs hanging in the way of the new ones.
