There's some concern in the Muslim community that celebrating the end of Ramadan could draw criticism from those marking an American tragedy.

The lunar calendar that Muslims follow for religious holidays puts the end of Ramadan on or just before September 11th, overlapping with the anniversary of the World Trade Center terrorist attacks.

Muslim leaders are concerned people less familiar with Islam could misconstrue the Ramadan celebration as joy about the attack.

The month-long holiday is one of the religions biggest, similar in scope to Christmas.

Steps are being taken to minimize the risk of problems. The Council on American-Islamic Relations is also urging mosques to review security guidelines.

The Islamic Circle of North America is calling off trips to Six Flags amusement park, which were planned for the 11th.
