New York City is no longer ranked the best metro area for working mothers, according to Forbes magazine.
The annual survey considers women's incomes, the cost of living, pediatricians, unemployment, violent crime and the amount spent per student.
This year, the twin cities of Minneapolis-Saint Paul came out on top, for low crime and high pay rates for women, followed by Washington, D.C., Boston, Pittsburgh and Baltimore.
New York City fell to number eight, although it did rank number one for pediatricians and number two for education spending.
Las Vegas came in last in the list of 50 cities.
