The woman at the center of a domestic violence scandal involving a former top aide to Governor David Paterson is breaking her silence.

The New York Daily News is reporting Sherr-una Booker plans to re-file charges against David Johnson for allegedly attacking her on Halloween of last year.

Booker told the paper that she now wants the truth to be told and hopes to inspire other women to stand up for themselves.

Booker says she dropped her first abuse complaint after talking with the governor. She also says State Police previously pressured her to drop the order of protection.

An investigation into the governor's involvement in the case was ultimately a factor in his decision not to run for a full term in office.

Several of his top officials also resigned, including his communications director.

The State Attorney General's Office is investigating whether the governor, his staff or the state police pressured Booker to drop her case.
