NY1's weekly segment "Your Weekend Starts Now" shows entertaining picks for great things to do this weekend all around the city. NY1's Stephanie Simon filed the following report.

King Michael -- Tribute To The King of Pop

This Saturday night at 8 p.m., artists Michael Firestone, Peter Carter and Ivan Kelley will portray the King of Pop at different stages of his stellar career. Harlem GospeLive have also been added to the musical presentation. The show includes dancers, DJs, live percussionists and more. Lehman Center for the Performing Arts is on the campus of Lehman College/CUNY in the Bronx. Tickets are $20 to $45.

"Infectious Beauty"

Maybe you've seen some of the 60 public pianos that were unveiled this week as part of the public art project "Play Me, I'm Yours." The artist behind that project also has a fine art exhibit at the Heller Gallery that is equally infectious. Artist Luke Jerram has created transparent glass sculptures inspired by viruses like SARS, HIV, smallpox, and the swine flu. The exhibit is called "Infectious Beauty" and it's at the Heller Gallery at 420 West 14th St. in the Meatpacking District now through July 31st.

LUMEN Fest

This weekend is LUMEN Fest on Staten Island. LUMEN is video art and projection festival featuring everything from site-specific video installations and 3D-videos to sound-based performances. The event takes place on on the Island’s waterfront at Atlantic Salt, located at 561 Richmond Terrace.

NYLaughs

NYLaughs is back with a summer long schedule of free outdoor comedy in city parks. NYLaughs is a not for profit organization founded by Suzette Simon which helps to provide all New Yorkers with some free laughter. The lineup is different for each show. This Sunday you can see NYLaughs at Union Square Park from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
