A citywide technology program shows promise for underserved students.
A three-year long study conducted by Fordham University found students who participated in the MOUSE Squad program are more likely to attend school, as well as improve academic, technology and leadership skills.
Results also found students are better prepared for college and future careers.
The MOUSE Squad trains students in 138 of the city's schools to provide technical support to their school community.
The program also provides internship opportunities and mentoring.
