The family of a Queens man trampled to death by shoppers at a Long Island Wal-Mart filed suit Wednesday at a Bronx court.
The family of Jimmy Damour has named several defendants, including the store, the mall where the incident occurred, Nassau County and its police department in the suit.
Damour died from asphyxiation caused by the stampede of shoppers at the Valley Stream store on Black Friday.
He was hired as a temporary worker at Wal-Mart to help during the busy holiday season.
The Nassau County Police Department had no comment on the pending litigation. NY1 reached out to the other defendants named Wednesday but did not receive a response.
