The Jim Henson Company has signed a seven-year lease for 12,000 square feet on Northern Boulevard in Long Island City.
The firm was located on Broadway in NoHo.
The new space will house the company's East Coast division of Jim Henson's Creature Shop, where animated and real-life puppets are designed and created.
The building is currently undergoing a $10 million renovation.
The shop has won more than nine Emmy Awards for its work building puppets for "Sesame Street."
