Reindeer From Upstate On Display At Staten Island Zoo
Santa won't be making his rounds for another month, so a couple of reindeer are taking a vacation here on Staten Island before the big night.
Donner and Blitzen are visiting from a farm in upstate New York and will be staying at the Staten Island Zoo through the holidays.
“I never saw them fly, but it's hard to say exactly what they can do or not,” said John Ponzio of the Staten Island Zoo. “It's anybody's guess. If anybody's ever seen it, I'd like to know about it.”
“We never knew that reindeer stop at the zoo, so we're excited that they're resting her,” said local resident Ruby Freeman.
